Purchase Lumigan (Generic Name Bimatoprost)
The active ingredient of this medication is bimatoprost which is available in the concentration of 0.3 mg/mL. Preservative Benzalkonium chloride is added at 0.05 mg/mL. The pH of the medicine is maintained at the prescribed level by adding hydrochloric acid or sodium hydroxide.
The inactive ingredients that are added to this medication are citric acid, purified water, sodium chloride, and sodium phosphate.
The Lumigan ophthalmic solution from Canadian pharmacy is available in sterile dispenser bottles in quantities of 2.5 mL, 5 mL and 7.5 mL. It is better to store this solution in 2 deg to 25 deg C.
Doses
The dosage that is recommended is one drop of Lumigan in the eye that is affected. This dosage is recommended in the evening. Do not use the Lumigan frequently. If you use it frequently than the recommended dosage that ocular pressure lowering effect that you expect out of the medication will not be there as you expect. The dosage of this Lumigan solution should not exceed 0.03% in a day. Make sure you are using other ophthalmic drugs at least five minutes apart when using this solution.
Side Effects
In case you are taking some other medicine for the treatment of eye problems then make sure that you are taking this ophthalmic drug at least 5 minutes after / before taking those medicines.
Side effects like conjunctival hyperemia is found in some of the patients and this side effect made them to discontinue the medication. Growth of eyelashes and itching in the eyes are some other side effects seen in some of the patients who took this bimatoprost ophthalmic solution.
Lumigan also has some other adverse effects like ocular burning sensation, foreign body sensation, darkening of eyelashes, eye pain, dryness in eyes, and irritation in some of the patients. Eye discharges and tears in the eyes are also seen in some patients. Intraocular inflammation was also found in about one percent of the patients. Headaches and liver malfunction are also found in some patients.
